Patients who are considered “high risk”:

  • Type 1 Insulin dependent Diabetic

  • Rheumatoid Conditions, Arthritic conditions
  • Patients on long term steroids
  • Patients on Warfarin or other anticoagulant drugs

All these conditions and more should be well respected.

Any “high risk” patient (meaning patients who require extra special care when treatment is in progress) should be careful about who cuts their toe nails and maintains their general foot health.

This is why at FootCare Clinic we pride ourselves with providing the highest clinical standard of practice and cleanliness as our podiatrists fully understand the potential risks involved with your treatment.

To help prevent foot problems we recommend you attend at the very least for an annual routine foot health check.
